region of Virginia, near the geographic center of
the state. The county's 517 square miles are predominantly
forest and agricultural, however, the business community
is increasingly finding Louisa to be a convenient,
low-cost, and attractive location for investment.
Louisa County is approximately 15 miles west of
Greater Richmond and east of Greater Charlottesville,
25 miles south of Greater Fredericksburg, 95 miles
southwest of Washington, D.C., and 145 miles northwest
of the port city of Norfolk.
